Music, food, refreshments, special guests, ribbon-cutting & more!
That’s what’s in store when you come help us celebrate our grand opening!
It’s been almost a month since Rainforest Arts opened its doors on July 1st and already folks are raving about our new gallery on Willow Street in Chemainus. Everyone is impressed with the beauty of the displays, the variety of the work and the wonderful quality of our artists’ creations. And YOU are invited to meet our team, our artists and our supporters at a very special Grand Opening Celebration.
Coastal Community Credit Union, our landlord and supporter, is hosting the event and will be providing appies and wine in the main lobby of the Credit Union. In addition, they will be making an announcement about a special promotion involving support for the Rainforest Arts.
Chemainus Valley Cultural Arts Society (CVCAS), who owns and operates Rainforest Arts, will be presenting the live music. Invited guest speakers will include Jon Lefebure, Mayor of North Cowichan, Kirsten Schrader, Arts & Culture Manager of CVRD and Moira Hauk, Regional Manager of Coastal Community. Afterwards, the Mayor will officially open the gallery and the fun begins!
You will have an opportunity to meet the Managing Committee of Rainforest Arts, as well as some of our artists, while you browse and shop and discover why everyone is so excited about this long awaited addition to Vancouver Island’s Arts Town. We are proud to represent almost fifty artists from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
So mark your calendar and plan to come to Rainforest Arts’ Grand Opening Celebration on August 4th from 6:30 until 9 pm. Enjoy our food and entertainment, meet and greet our team and feast your eyes on Vancouver Island’s newest, most exciting gallery featuring the best Island Artists found anywhere. We are located inside the Coastal Community Building at 9781 Willow Street.
